Our Story.

It all started in 2010 when Dr. Vincent Muli-Kituku returned to Kenya after living in America for 24 years. He became “demoralized” while witnessing the devastating poverty (caused largely by AIDS). “These children have nothing, not even parents to provide for them or keep them safe.” Seeing this inspired Dr. Vincent Muli-Kituku to help.

Understanding that the children’s success in life would need to come through education, in 2011, Vincent founded Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope, knowing that’s exactly what it would take. Caring Hearts willing to donate anyway they are able to, and Hands of Hope to provide guidance and make sure these donations are going exactly where they are meant to. We are a non-profit organization that was founded with the sole mission of providing educational sponsorship for the most hardworking, yet neediest of children.

By 2013, we had noticed that some of the brilliant students we were sponsoring were performing below their proven potential. One of the factors that we realized was affecting their performance was the deplorable conditions they were living in at home. They had no safe house for private studies and sometimes they had no food either. Most of the times they were sick by the time they reported back to school.

That was when we decided to help them with basic modern houses that cost $3,500-$4,500 (including outdoor plumbing), that are safe and conducive for private studies.

As the number of sponsored students grew, overlooking them in over 40 different schools became difficult. Through people’s generosity, grants and donations, an existing boarding school, able to house hundreds of students was purchased.

In 2015, Caring Hearts High School (CHHS) was born and became an all-girls school for education and excellence. Empowering young leaders and transforming lives.

We also are proud to announce that in 2021 Caring Hearts (boys) High School was born and we have began ushering in some of our Sponsorship Program students in class by class.

To this day hundreds of children have benefited from our Sponsorship Program, completing high school, and going on to graduate from college or university. Beating these societal norms that have plagued their communities and for some, plagued their families. With your help, we could make it thousands of children that have benefited.

Help us make a difference.
