Sponsorship Program

In Kenya, after 8th grade, all children must pay school tuition to continue with their education. However, needy orphans and other vulnerable children from poverty-stricken families, who even struggle to have meals, are not able to pay the average $725 a year for school fees that covers books, room and board and other school requirements. That forces them to remain in the cycle of poverty that plague their families and local communities.

In 2010, Dr. Vincent Muli-Kituku founded Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope with the sole mission of providing educational sponsorship for the most hardworking, yet neediest of children.

Number of currently sponsored students:

  • 410 (254 girls and 156 boys) students in high school

  • 225 students in university and vocational training colleges

  • 100+ students have graduated from universities since 2010.

We expect to have more 50 students graduating each year from 2023.

That number of graduates will increase to more than 100/year now that we have two schools—thanks to our unwavering donors.
