Caring Hearts High Schools

Our girls’ high school is an academic powerhouse

  • #1 out of 52 schools in our conference, five consecutive years.

  • #2 out of 452 schools in Machakos County, Kenya in 2023.

Operating our own schools help sponsored students to acquire quality education without facing unexpected challenges including, government mandated school closures for simple events like voting or voter registration, unexpected disruption of studies due to strikes by public teachers or students, unexpected and unwarranted fees added to regular tuition (students were constantly suspended from school if they could not pay these other fees) among others. We are able to closely monitor students’ performance, offer remedial programs, and provide counseling and guidance opportunities for very vulnerable students during the time in their lives when they need it the most. These measures have led to outstanding levels of self-esteem, great attitudes, minimal discipline related challenges and top academic performance, year after year. At the moment, the girls’ school has 250 students but can accommodate 480 when a new dormitory is constructed.

There are no words that can describe the depth of our appreciation for our caring donors. We now have Caring Hearts High School—Kangundo, a boarding school for boys. Through the generous donations, we purchased dilapidated school facility, demolished the condemned structures and built a modern boarding school for boys. This allowed us to admit 51 vulnerable boys to freshman class in 2021. The school has capacity for 320 boys.
